La Vierge

Meaning ‘The Virgin’ in French, La Vierge takes its bright and unique inspiration from the surrounding Hemel-en-Aarde Valley in the Overberg region, which is also home to the famous whale-watching town of Hermanus.

La Vierge grows no less than 10 different cultivars on their farm between heaven and earth. The region is famous for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, but they also grow Sauvignon Blanc, Sangiovese, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Semillon and Riesling.

With a tasting room offering various options, a restaurant that is open 6 days a week for lunch, and a stunningly quaint cottage perched under an ancient oak, there are lots to explore when visiting La Vierge.
