Recognised as one of the top fine dining restaurants in Africa, De Grendel restaurant is bringing its contemporary Cape cuisine to the doorstep with wholesome home-style meals for delivery.
Chef Ian Bergh has added his own touch to recipes from the Graaff family recipe book to create a selection of easy-to-heat frozen meals – hearty oxtail, lamb curry, traditional chicken pie and gnocchi with smoked tomato, walnuts and parmesan are made in servings for two or four people, with side dishes of honeyed butternut, broccoli-cauliflower cheese bake and basmati rice, and there’s mac ‘n cheese for the little ones.
The meals are prepared in the De Grendel restaurant kitchen with strict hygiene protocols in place and delivered frozen with easy heating instructions. Meals come with pairing suggestions from De Grendel’s award-winning wine range, which will be available for delivery with food orders once lockdown regulations allow.
Deliveries are made to the city bowl, west coast, northern and southern suburbs between 13.00 and 17.00 Monday to Friday, with orders placed Sunday to Thursday delivered the following day, and orders on Friday and Saturday delivered the following Monday. Delivery is free for orders over R750.
